Chester Zoo Trip

The School of Psychology and Sport Science are heading to Chester Zoo. 

The trip is open to all students (Undergrad & PGR) and staff of the school to celebrate the end of the academic year. 

Friday 30th May 2025: The bus will be departing from the Brigantia building at 8:30am and heading straight to Chester Zoo. The zoo opens daily at 10am, and the main entrance opens at 9:30am. This will allow time for everyone to sort themselves out before entering the zoo.

Once we're in the zoo, everyone is free to go forth and explore for the day. If you've not been to Chester Zoo before, it’s a big space with lots to see (there are maps situated around the zoo, and you can get one online/on the app if you prefer), so make sure you’re in comfortable shoes and clothing for the day. There are several places around the zoo with food, drinks and gifts, you are also allowed to bring in your own packed lunches and snacks should you prefer. 

There are regular zookeeper talks at specific times for different animal enclosures, all these details are on the Chester Zoo website, which is linked below. 

The trip will still be going ahead even if it’s raining, there are plenty of indoor enclosures to visit, just please remember a coat!

We’ll be leaving the zoo at around 5:00pm – 6:00pm (this will be confirmed closer to the day) as the zoo closes at 6:00pm.

The cost of the tickets for the trip are £43.78; this cost covers the bus travel and admission into the zoo for the day.

Taith Sw Caer

Mae'r Ysgol Seicoleg a Gwyddor Chwaraeon yn mynd I Sw Caer. 

Mae'r daith yn agored I holl fyfyrwyr (Undergrad & PGR) a staff yr ysgol I ddathlu diwedd y flwyddyn academaidd. 

Dydd Gwener 30 Mai 2025: Bydd y bws yn gadael adeilad Brigantia am 8:30yb ac yn mynd yn syth I Sw Caer. Mae'r sw yn agor yn ddyddiol am 10yb, a'r brif fynedfa yn agor am 9:30yb. Bydd hyn yn rhoi amser I bawb roi trefn ar eu hunain cyn mynd I mewn I'r sw.

Unwaith y byddwn ni yn y sw, mae pawb yn rhydd I fynd allan I archwilio am y diwrnod. Os nad ydych wedi bod I Sw Caer o’r blaen, mae’n ofod mawr gyda llawer I’w weld (mae mapiau wedi’u lleoli o amgylch y sw, a gallwch gael un ar-lein/ar yr ap os yw’n well gennych), felly gwnewch yn siŵr eich bod mewn esgidiau a dillad cyfforddus ar gyfer y diwrnod. Mae yna nifer o lefydd o gwmpas y sw gyda bwyd, diodydd ac anrhegion, mae hawl hefyd I chi ddod â'ch pecynnau bwyd a byrbrydau eich hun I mewn os yw'n well gennych. 

Cynhelir sgyrsiau rheolaidd gan geidwad sw ar adegau penodol ar gyfer gwahanol fannau caeedig I anifeiliaid, ac mae’r holl fanylion hyn ar wefan Sw Caer, sydd â dolen isod. 

Bydd y daith yn dal I fynd yn ei blaen hyd yn oed os yw’n bwrw glaw, mae digon o gaeau tu fewn I ymweld â nhw, cofiwch am got!

Byddwn yn gadael y sw tua 5:00pm - 6:00pm (bydd hyn yn cael ei gadarnhau yn nes at y diwrnod) wrth i'r sw gau am 6:00pm.
